Boy, do I have some Tales to Tell...

I had the pleasure of having lunch with him and his partner. They were visiting from the other side of the globe. It was nice to help someone navigate this City that I so love. I hope to someday make it to New Zealand so he can return the favor. Hope you had fun, Kevin. Say hello to Jason. It was very wonderful to meet both of you.

After meeting with Kevin and Jason, a friend of mine asked me if I have met other bloggers. I have met a few but certainly not as many as I could. I do wonder why. Is the web a good shield for most of us? Are we more comfortable cyber-socializing? I'm not averse to meeting people in person, at all. I love it. I even understand it when you meet someone who's blog you find interesting and you decide to keep it to one meeting. It definitely is easier for some people to be more open/interesting when it isn't in person. But I do wonder why I haven't met him or him in person. And I would absolutely love to. Even at the same time. Him, I would like to meet but the whole anonymous thing is there for a reason.

And for the record, I have met him and continue to and I love him dearly. Later.

Hey Tim
Just to let you know that it was so good to meet you. You're a great guy and we want to say thankyou for lunch (it was a great choice of cafe). Also to let you know that you will be most welcome down here in New Zealand at any time and i look forward to showing you around my city.

I have just arrived home a few minutes ago so i will e-mail you later.

Kevin.

Yeah, we were supposed to play tennis!

Hey Tim,

You never know, we may have actually already met, and I may have asked you one of those annoying questions (you know, "where are the canned beans?"... "uh, right in front of you??". Maybe not.

:-)

We tried to meet you when we were recently in NYC, but since the trip was more like an extended weekend, there just wasn't time. Heck, we stayed in a place that overlooked Central Park and we never even had to time to go into the park!

What, you don't want to meet me? FINE, I see how it is. I was planning to come by your store soon and stalk you while I shop for insecticide, but not anymore! :-)
